Some people view the environment and technology as polar opposites in an irresolvable dichotomy. For others, concern for the environment becomes unappealing when it is approached as a sermon and requires we sacrifice avenues of creative possibilities. For Janine Benyus, and many others, there is no need to view this nature/technology debate as indicative of any actual divide. Technology that mimics nature actually expands the possibilities rather than restricts them.
