    new hotend issue

So I didn't heat my hexagon before inserting the nozzle, leakage happened, and then destruction ensued.

    Lesson learned.

I purchased a e3d lite6 and got it all installed. The print quality in general is excellent, but I have one issue. The location where the layer changes gets a huge blob of plastic, leaving a giant seam up the side of the part. I've ducked around with retraction distance and speed and wipe, and I cannot resolve it. I've also went down to 205 (ABS) which seems oddly low, but nothing really changed.

I've googled around and read a few threads, and everything seems to point to retraction, but changing the settings haven't changed anything very much at all.

Ive tried pretty much every combination of

    Temp: 205-230
    Retraction: .5-3
    R. Spd. 20-45

Could my temperature reading by off? I did a quick PLA test when I first installed the hotend, and it came out fine, but that's all I've done with PLA. I think it's a little curious that oozing is still occurring with ABS at 205.

    I need help here.

Also, I did dissolve some of the filament in acetone, so it's not mislabeled pla.

Well... I wish I could make my Delta printer do that good!
