Simpler Z probe setup

Has anyone tried this type of Z probe setup with a removable Allen key

I hate dealing with the Servo and arm in my Gantry design

Stratasys do this really well with a probe that is dropped by the head moving to a certain location, bed is measured then the head goes to another extreme and lifts the probe.
