Madrid, Spain-based 3Der Alejandro Medrano shared a recent project on Thingiverse: a “simplified model of an articulation or joint.” The 3D printed component, the elbow joint, combines with some basic, inexpensive materials like balloons and cardboard tubes to create an anatomical model that teachers can easily make and use to instruct their students about how a human arm functions. Medrano provided .stl files for the elbow joint and easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions for making the model. Check out more about how this model compares to some of the higher-tech 3D printed anatomical models over at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/98238/basic-3d-printed-arm-model/
