Mechanical engineer and maker JonPaul Laskis created an Automated Dog Treat Feeder that allowed his impatient pup to get dog treats automatically every eight hours. The device has a paw paddle that allows a treat to drop when it is depressed by his dog’s foot. While most of the device is made of 3D printable parts, Laskis also used a metal sheet and some clear acrylic tubing in the design. He admits the device is probably a little over-engineered and is working on a simplified version that is entirely 3D printable.
