    A 3D Printed Laser?

A mysterious YouTuber maker named KreAture has 3D printed parts that helped him build a functional C02 laser. The 3D printed end cap parts hold two glass tubes together, allowing the gas laser to fully ignite. KreAture is working on improving the design so the caps are completely air tight, which will allow him to maintain the needed vacuum and give him more control over the laser. You can read more about the project over on 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/92997/3d-print-a-laser-sort-of/

Please stop claiming that anything with a 3d printed component is now a 3d printed whatever. It is not; it is a whatever with one or more 3d printed components.

By doing this, you set people up with unrealistic expectations about this technology.

Also probably appropriate to not call a glowing tube a laser. I doubt very much that it is lasing at all, more like a neon light to me.
