Woot - 3D Printer/Scanner Deals

There are a few pretty awesome deals this weekend on Woot.com. The grandaddy of them all is a refurbished MakerBot 5th Generation 3D Printer price at just $1499. Normally new this machine would be $2899. Additionally Woot.com is offering a Matter & Form 3D Scanner for $499, and MakerBot's 2 lbs PLA filament for just $39.99 a piece in 12 colors. Okay, Brian now I know you spend most of your lifev writing up these articles.
But even you must have - at some point - registered that the makerbot 5th gen is junk.

It's definitely not worth $1499 - not when you can get a brand new flashforge creator pro for a lot less.

The matter and form scanner is a good deal. And if that were in the uk at that price I'd snatch at it like a hungy hobo grabbing a candy bar.

But nobody should be encouraged to ever buy a 5th gen makerbot.
