Just curious I see that QIDI Tech has had a recent update of there printer. I've only had mine for about 3 weeks.
From some of the ebay pictures it looks like they added a filament cooling fan.
Was wondering what other changes besides the front panel they have made?

    This is what I have.

My apologies for piggy backing on this thread, but I too just purchased this QIDI Printer, and after printing 2 models, I've been looking for the setting to adjust the temperatures of the nozzles and build plate in the "on board" menus. Can anyone enlighten a newbie on where the temp setting might be? I would like to lower them a bit. I'm using the SD card not the USB cord for printing....

    Thanks.

Hi. Not sure, but I think that you can only change the preheat settings using the onboard menu. I think that the heat settings for printing are just in the x3g file that your slicer produces, so you have to change the settings in your slicer program.

You can only preheat the build plate or extruders from the built in utilities menu. Pgpalmer is right your slicing software is where you set your temps and then save the x3g file of your model to your sd card.

Hello, new to 3D printing. First, thank you all for posting about the printer. Had a hard time deciding on what to get and thanks to your reviews, QIDI won. Just got it today. I was on here trying to see if anyone knew about the extra parts included, they are actually extra? Everything else seems to be good but I haven't plugged it in yet. Will post some pictures soon. Thanks!

In an effort to keep the info flowing on a great printer let me start by saying I've had my Qidi Tech printer for 6 weeks now and couldn't be happier. It nearly always produces perfect prints now but only after making a few mods.
At first I would get filament snags on the reels so I realized that the printer needed better filament control. Fortunately the Qidi Tech is almost identical to the Flashforge Creator Pro so I went to Thigiverse and printed filament and spool guides that eliminated the all filament problems.
The other problem was getting the prints to release after they where done. What I did was to remove the blue buildtech syle pad and replace it with 1/4" glass plates. Using only hairspray on the glass plate gives perfect prints that just pop off when the plate cools.
Print and install these it will save you a lot failed prints.

Thanks for the prints! I'm going to try and get this done soon. Here are some pictures of mine, looks a little different than yours. I did confirm that it comes with Sailfish v7.8 out of the box. When I bought this thing on eBay it was advertised as the latest version. My z axis is slightly bent tho like someone else had on here, emailed them and waiting for response. Also, if you are looking to buy one, I got outbid on ebay and then just emailed them with a $650 offer on one of "buy it now" listings and it arrived at my door 5 days later.

You have the model that came out right after mine. Does it have the print cooler mounted to the left side of the extruders? I'm going to check about the firmware on mine and ask if it's upgradable to the latest. I want to add a print cooling fan to mine.
