OK, so I had a break on the right extruder. I cut away the filament and got the extruder out of the way. I've put myself to 230C and am trying to push down, but it doesn't seem to be accomplishing much, and I don't want to give it a forceful push.

    Suggestions?

QIDI is telling me I need to take off the nozzle and replace the plastic tube. Which is fine...but I don't know how to get the carriage loose so that I can get the entire assembly off the carriage or rails (depending on what I need to do).

To take the extruder carriage off the trolly there are 2 screws on the underside....but ya dont need to do that in order to get the PTFE tube out.

Use the pre-heat function on the machine to heat the nozzle, and wait till it hits the 230c. Use wrench to undo the nozzle (make sure you hold the hot-block, above the nozzle, with some pliers so it does not twist). When the nozzle comes down the PTFE tube should come with it, if not gently grip the PTFE tube with pliers and pull it down.

also has any one thought about moving the position of the power switch.
i am thinking of doing this as its a pain to get to the back of my printer to switch it on.

You know what I'm not sure if I disconnected the USB cable from the OctoPi during my from SD print test. I shall test this way after I sleep.

As Syd said be very careful of the wires going to the hot block they break very easily.

I forget and can't find any posts but has anyone here used Hatchbox wood filament? Wondering on basic settings.

Continuing my saga, I have the nozzle off and I still have a piece of filament stuck in here, and am unable to get a grip on it with tweezers or pliers.

Ok, time for wood. First a calibration cube to see what happens. Same rough edges I always get!
Then something real and it worked pretty good.
