It was a starter kit, and is about $60. Might make some for the stock hot ends for FF and QIDI.

So, I was running low on blue tape and while at Lowe's I got some more. I ended up getting Blue Hawk brand, mostly because that was actually available in the widest rolls.

Bad mistake. Stuff barely sticks. I'd recommend against it.

I have torn the first hot end set apart (one that shipped was messed up QIDI sent a replacement) and been thinking about the insulation and how it works effectively or not. Very cool to see this.

Not too bad for first try. Had 2 of the 4 fail, must not have got the 2 parts mixed good enough.

All installed and up and running it only took me 7 ours but that was with doing other stuff as well.
Just a little bit of fine tuning to be done but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

I wanted to take photo's so i could show how the install went but i got exited and didn't take any.

I use the same brand. It needs glue stick for PLA. Wiping it down lightly with alcohol works, too, but too good. Maybe it would be good for ABS, but with PLA you end up with blue crap all over the bottom.
