    RageTekk Delta 3D Printer

The founders of RageTekk, Indian developers Gunit Singh and Sagar Deswal, say their FDM delta 3D printing machine uses components precisely designed for durability and efficiency. While the standard Dimension uses PLA filament, it can be equipped to handle ABS materials with the addition of an optional heated bed. Singh and Deswal say the Dimension kit is bundled with open source firmware and open source, easy to use, software. The team at Rage Tekk adds that they have a fully working prototype and have already teamed up with suppliers and backup suppliers for every component. It's basically a Kossel surely? It certainly looks like a very close cousin to my Mini Kossel -- so it could be a sound printer, but it's nothing new -- nothing to get excited about.

It is a kossel, they are just selling Kossel kit, so people don't have to worry about getting the printed parts.

400$ for fully assembled and shipping include for international.... That does sound another Makibox or another cobbleflop drama....

4 Steppers alone can cost in the 100$, the electronics alone can go to another 120$, unless using cheap ass quality chinese components, that burns after few months of print.... Adding the fact there are hardware equipments for the frame that can toss another 100$ for LCD, frame, screw, nuts belt, etc.

Without forgetting the time required to print the orange compotents, which can easily exceed 20 hours.

I just can't see how it gives enough profit, to pay 1 engineer alone in their team.

    Hi guys,

This is Sagar Deswal, one of the founders of RageTekk.

So yes, our printer looks very very similar to Kossel, thats because that was the design we liked the most.

The aim of this crowd-funding campaign is to build up a base for our start-up company, and we don't seek much profit. According to what we have decided, we will be retailing Dimension at $449USD, which is about the same as Kossel. When the parts are manufactured in bulk, the turn out to be much cheaper.

Moreover, Our printer comes with a 1 year warranty, so you don't need to worry about the quality.

When things are manufactured in Bulk, they are not 3D printed. there are much faster and efficient ways to do that job.

I hope it's clear now, Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Regards
    Sagar Deswal

There's now injection molded Kossel parts here in China along with custom extrusion. This has dropped the cost of Kossels though the floor in the last couple of months- expect the market to be flooded with them. This is actually about a $150-$200 kit off TaoBao. For $400 you can get linear rails etc.
