Ireland-based Wittystore is here with an answer to all those almost-but-not-quite used up slivers of soap that accumulate, with their new Soap01 3D printer. The machine, designed to be an affordable desktop 3D printer that runs similarly to FDM/FFF devices, uses little bars of soap as feedstock and then prints out new bars in your choice of color and shape. Two prototypes have been made so far, and Wittystore intends to launch a Kickstarter campaign later this month to help the Soap01 get off the ground, with release scheduled for the end of 2016. The plan is to make the printer available for €2,500 to Kickstarter backers, but there will be a very limited quantity (as few as 5) made available.
