When faculty at UCVM learned of a rooster that had lost its feet to frostbite, they came together with the idea of 3D printing him a pair of new trotters. Working as an interdisciplinary team and with a student studying in Mechanical Engineering they produced a pair of new feet. The first set were not successful, but with some changes in the design, Foghorn is up and strutting at his new home in Alberta.
