Eric Lemaresquier and his team at leFabShop used photogrammetric scanning, 3D modeling software and 3D printing to repair and replicate a damaged, ancient bust of Suryavarman, King of Cambodia. During the 11th Century, Suryavarman I was the ultimate leader of the Khmer Empire, and his reign stretch for some 40 years. His days were consumed defending his kingdom, but he did the job with resolve and was ultimately known as the "King of the Just Laws." Intent on preserving the bust of the king, Lemaresquier and his team used a rotating table to capture more than 200 photos to digitally save the sculpture using Autodesk Memento software and Mcor 3D printing technology.
