Dr. Jennifer Wolk, the Naval Surface Warfare Center Additive Manufacturing Lead, says additive manufacturing will disrupt the way Naval Sea Systems applications are supported. She says cooperative research and development agreements are key to broader utilization of AM and 3D printing by the Navy. Dr. Wolk recently briefed Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jonathan Greenert on Navy additive manufacturing during a tour of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division facilities.
