Submarines and RC vehicles both fascinate many hobbyists, and a maker who goes by the name Mayoneko has brought the two together, along with 3D printing, in creating a scaled down, working 3D printed RC submarine. The submarine, printed in 19 pieces using PLA filament, also uses an empty soy sauce container to house electronics, as well as styrofoam to enhance buoyancy and stability. The waterproofed creation is 25cm in length and 5cm in diameter, and Mayoneko is still working toward perfecting the sub.
