Designers Paola Amabile and Alberto Fabbian of Amsterdam-based home product design company Faberhama have introduced a new line of home decor objects in a collection they’ve titled “Dual Land.” Perhaps ironically, the design theme is a maritime one. The “Dual” component references not only the Netherlands and Italy as, among other things, seafaring nations, but also the use of traditional and cutting-edge production techniques. Objects in the Dual Land collection are made using the time-honored craft of glass blowing and the 3D-printing process known Selective Laser Melting (SLM).
