I'm using a MakerBot Replicator 3D printer and I have been noticing that whenever an object is printed too close to the edge of the base plate, the tape starts to bubble up and peel away from the glass. This will cause the object to be thinner in that area. It may also cause the extruder head to jam against the object being printed if the tape peels up to high.

What I would like to know is -

  1. Anyone else have this tape peeling issue?
  2. Does anyone know what the minimum margin around the edge needs to be in order for the tape to stay secured to the glass plate?
  3. How difficult would it be to removed the glass from the frame in order to wrap the tape around the edges?

Thanks for any advise in the matter.
