Researchers at Michigan Technological University are currently engaged in the pioneering of 3D printing tissue to help, for example, patients with nerve damage due to spinal cord injuries. They are searching for exactly the right materials, which may include graphene, and the correct bio-ink for 3D printing of tissue. The lab at Michigan Technological University is currently being funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation's Biomaterials Program.
