London-based PrintME 3D has collaborated with London architecture firm, Urban Systems, to create a storefront architecture installation for RIBA Shanghai Windows Project. The idea behind the project is to have architects and artists contribute to the built environment by contributing original pieces that will be displayed in well-frequented public spaces. Urban Systems worked on the digital design with its chosen storefront, PH7, and PrintME 3D printed the installation, which is made up by using variations on small families of components, using Bq Witbox 3D printers.
