    printing quick

    been playing around with printing quickly in vase mode on my i3v 12"

    running at 300% which should be around 240mm/sec

    if you saw how uber modified adamfilips I3 is you would understand :-)

    speaking of... did you go back to standard steppers for the lead screws or are you just running full steps?

    I could see running 300% on spilral vases without concern. Few starts and stops and no retractions. for me what looks bad when you crank the rate on rectilinear prints is the transitions retractions between layers are huge and create zits/zippers. I've never tried to adjust the speeds up for those types of prints because i've never been able to eliminate ringing. gets progressively worse with overall speed.
