It’s another first with 3D printing in space, as this week the TurkmenAlem52E/MonacoSAT Satellite was successfully launched into orbit. Manufactured by French-Italian company Thales Alenia Space, the Turkmenistan satellite bears a 3D printed T&C antenna horn mounting strut. The historical satellite, the first of its kind with a 3D printed part, will be able to cover zones from Europe to Central Asia, as well as covering nearly all of Africa.
