Desmond Chan, founder and designer of Hong Kong-based Vulcan Jewelry, creates lasting 3D printed jewelry pieces inspired by Modern Art, especially the Surrealist painter Salvador DalĂ*, and natural elements like flowers, starfish, garlands, tears, and shells. First inspired by his desire to present his wife with a unique jewelry item, Chan's 3D printed jewelry designs have evolved. He recently was named winner of A' Design Award and Competition in the category of Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watches for his DalĂ*-inspired "Tree in Cross" collection. "Tree in Cross" highlights the double image, as a tree is embedded in an outer, and more geometrical shaped, cubical cross design.
