    PLEN2 -- 3D Printable Open Source Robot

The CTO of the PLEN2 Project, developer Naohiro Hayaishi, and the founder of the project, Natsuo Akazawa, say their aim is to bring robotics technology to the masses. The pair have set up a Kickstarter campaign to fund development and delivery of their small, sophisticated, 3D printable, and open source robot, PLEN2. The deliverable for the project will also include all the necessary 3D data to create the main components for the robot, and as the project features an Arduino-compatible control setup, anyone who loves robots and gadgets can handle programming and adding functions to the PLEN2. Natsuo Akazawa, the founder and CEO of the PLEN2 Project, says now that as his company's Kickstarter campaign is complete, the time has come to open up online pre-ordering and launch the official community site for the 3D printable robot, PLEN Playground. Akazawa says PLEN Playground all about enhancing the quality and availability of the PLEN2 user experience. The launch includes a set of new software packages: Motion Editor and Scenography. Motion Editor, a web application to allow users to create motion functions for the PLEN series robot without writing code, and Scenography, a visual programming tool for PLEN series robots, can also be installed on iOS and Android tablets from the PLEN Playground site.
