Philip Cotton, a product design teacher at Ladybridge High School in the UK, is a firm believer in teaching 3D printing technology and design to the next generation -- and he is putting his money where his mouth is as he teaches his students how to create impressive original designs. Cotton himself has significant experience with 3D printing, including consulting for the BBC and winning the 3D PrintShow's Educational Excellence award for the last two years and acting as BEEVERYCREATIVE's Educational Ambassador. He has been teaching his students, now 15 and 16 years old, since they were 11 years old, the art of 3D design and CAD training. The students created impressive 3D printed lamps with their own original designs, printed in PLA filament.
