Since the day a 15-year-old Louis Braille codified his system of six dots and dashes six which could be recognized as a letter or punctuation mark with the touch of a fingertip, his "braille" system has been used by the visually impaired to help them read. The project, due in large part to the experience of Dr. Peichun Yang, the co-founder of LibraryLyna, converts any text to Braille characters and then to an .STL file which can be immediately 3D printed on any 3DP device.
