Often, after 3D printing an object, it becomes a piece of art -- but sometimes art really is in the eye of the beholder, especially if the perspective changes. Maker Joshua Martin 3D printed some vases based on Thingiverse designs on his Rostock Max V2, but has caused a stir not because of the vases themselves, but because he photographed them from an unexpected angle. When checking to see if they were watertight, he held an LED lamp to the bottoms and photographed the perspective with his iPhone -- that vantage point created an almost otherworldly look. He posted his photos on Imgur, then over on Reddit. Find out more about Martin's photographic artistry and interest in 3D printing in the full article: http://3dprint.com/48239/3d-printed-vase-art/
