Z-Unlimited Allows Unlimited Z-axis 3D Printing on Ultimaker Printers

You may remember back in August we there was a story that came out about a large full-sized elephant that was being 3D printed in the Netherlands. In order to do so, designer Joris van Tubergen had rigged up five Ultimaker 3D printers to print with huge 2.5 meter z-axes. Now Tubergen is making this setup available to anyone interested via a Kickstarter campaign. His system allows for an unlimited z-axis height on both the Ultimaker Original and Ultimaker Original Plus 3D printers. Read and see more at: http://3dprint.com/48301/z-unlimited-z-axis/

One of those simple, but great ideas that makes everybody ask themselves, "why didn't i think of that?"
If this catches on, filament suppliers will be ecstatic.
