At Ben Lomand High School in Ogden, Utah, students have come together with inspiration, care, and the use of their 3D printer to show another student how much they enjoy communicating with him through his iPad. Special needs student Jeremy Dixon has a number of health issues and a speech impediment that makes it hard for him to communicate on his own. When the other students saw how delighted he was speaking through his iPad, they wanted to make sure he had it close by at all times, so in a matter of hours they had a 3D design created to tether the iPad to Jeremy’s wheelchair, with the 3D printed device attached to his chair by the end of the week. They used the MakerBot 3D printer at their high school. Read more about the students' design for their classmate in the full article: http://3dprint.com/47283/students-3d-print-ipad-tripod/
