    3D Systems Announces Ceramic 3D Printer With Sub $10,000 CeraJet(TM)

    Looks like 3D Systems has announced some more 3D Printers today at CES 2014. This one is one that prints in ceramics. Priced at just under $10,000, it probably won't be something most people have in their homes.

    ROCK HILL, S.C., Jan. 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 3D Systems (NYSEDD) showcased today its new CeraJet™ 3D printer, extending its 3D printing portfolio to the ancient artisanal craft of pottery and ceramics. Ideal for artists, designers, makers and consumers, CeraJet prints intricate and detailed ceramic objects fast using 3DS' Color-Jet-Printing (CJP) technology, that are ready for firing and glazing.     I'd love to see this printer in action. I wonder how exactly it works. Has to be SLS, right? From those photos it certainly doesn't look like it's ceramic filament. At the price tage of just under $10K, I'm sure it's not filament.

    There is nothing new about the materials, just how they are constructed.
