English Rock Ban Shriekback 3D Prints Fish For New Album
English rock band Shriekback formed in the 1980s, and they're still going strong, with Barry Andrews still leading their way. Their latest album comes out this March, and for a limited edition release of CD box sets for 'Without Real String or Fish,' the band wanted something that would really stick out -- so Andrews contacted Andy Lewis of Pot8oSh3D with a 3D Hub based north of London. Lewis scanned a a Seabream fish using his Matter and Form 3D scanner, modified the design using Blender into a 3D mesh figure, and ultimately outsourced the print job to a Denmark-based 3D Hub for quality. 3D printed fish were included in 50 limited edition copies of the new album, but there's high demand for even more. never heard of them.
Like the fish - and finally, proof that the matter and form scanner works :-)
