XYZPrinting has just announced a new line of biodegradable PLA filaments, as well as relodable ABS filament cartridges -- and some nice awards to back the company up. The first two colors in the new line of biodegradable filaments, Nature and Clear Yellow, will be followed up later this year with seven more colors -- green, tangerine, red, purple, blue, white and black -- throughout 2015. ABS cartridges can be replaced, thanks to a user-friendly design feature, and while new cartridges will retail at $27.99, refills are at the $24.99 mark. On the awards front, the da Vinci AiO (All-in-One) 3D printer-plus-scanner from XYZPrinting is an SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards finalist, and the companys da Vinci 1.0 and Nobel 1.0 3D printers won CES Editors' Choice Awards for the second year in a row. The da Vinci 1.0 AiO may be announced a winner at SXSW on March 17th. You can read the whole story here: http://3dprint.com/45319/xyzprinting-pla-filaments/
