Web-based 3D design and printing service and interactive community Pinshape conducted a survey among its users to find out who they are. Some of the survey results are surprising, in particular the relatively low percentage of people on Pinshape who actually follow through and print their 3D designs -- just 32%. Evidently, 3D designing is, in itself, a pretty satisfying experience, although we imagine the folks at Pinshape will be looking for ways to encourage its designers, mostly younger males, to realize the fruits of their labor in a more concrete way.
