    3D Printed Battery Emulator

Electronic engineer Philip Crump was frustrated when he discovered that the battery in his camera would only function for a fraction of its usual time when it got too cold. So Crump called on his friends at a local MakerSpace to lend him a hand building a 3D printed camera battery emulator he designed in OpenSCAD. The battery pack needed to operate in the chilly environment high above the ground for a ballooning project Crump was working on, so he designed his device to take power from a battery already on board on the balloon. The canon has been a favourite of HAB enthusiasts for some time, as it's easily hackable. There are three models on thingiverse that accomplish the same thing (two have been there since 2011). This is one of the first things I printed with my first printer.
