Rotterdam, Netherlands-based Erasmus Medical Center has teamed up with the PCR's Valve Atlas initiative to provide training models for medical professionals. They turned to Materialise for their expertise in creating 3D printed anatomical models, and created a model that can be used to train practitioners on the TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation) procedure, which is minimally invasive and uses a catheter. The final model allows for doctors a hands-on way to train on and reference the TAVI procedure. Check out more details in the full article: http://3dprint.com/38837/valve-atlas-3d-printed-model/
