Hi,
I am looking for some help in creating some demonstration parts that can relate to anyone in the automotive and aeronautical industries. we have the ability to print in PEEK so I would like to show the strength of this material and how it could be applied to the relevant industry. Does anyone have any experience working in these fields that could share some knowledge on what parts could be printed in PEEK?

might be a bit basic - but a functional coffee cup & fully 3d printed caffitiere is something that would definitely attract attention at tct.
You can't do it with any of the standard filaments.
Could you print a working kettle ? No reason why not.
As long as the element doesn't exceed the metling point of peek, keep it fairly small so it doesn't take all day to boil.
So while not engineering related per-se, a kettle, cafetiere (kind of winging the spelling on that) and coffee cups all printed from PEEK - not only would attract a lot of attention and publicity, but demonstrates a few of the properties of PEEK that do apply to engineering projects.
And I do mean the caffitiere should be entirely made from peek.
Pretty straight forward.
Nobody's done it yet either :-) It's something I'd definitely have remembered.

I can print in peek, only tried some small parts but have the ability to print large part if needed. I will also be at the TCT show..

PEEK is not a good conductor, so I don't see it as a good way of transferring heat to the beverage.
yeah i think the heated coil would be metal but the case around it would be PEEK.
That was my thinking.
Isn't the glass point for peek around 300c ?
Standard kettle element would be fine.
Getting it all watertight could be the interesting bit.
As that's something fdm is not known for :-)
160c pla - Okay I need some of that !
But in the uk we like kettles :-)
You rarely see them in the states. I doubt there's a kitchen in the uk that doesn't have one.
I don't drink tea - but everybody else seems to :-)

You'll most likely only be a short detour from my house going to the nec.
