HP Introduces New Materials Development Kit

3DPrint.com had an exclusive first look at the new Materials Development Kit (MDK) for use in the first step toward certifying materials for use in the HP Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing system. The MDK, officially announced today, was developed in collaboration with SigmaDesign. It tests spreadability of a small quantity of powder to ascertain that the material is ready for additional testing, meeting the first standard along the way to qualification. It is the only step of the process that a materials partner can use off-site, as the remaining three steps require an HP materials lab.
