UK-based Inventor Creates Renegade, 3D Printing Pen Using Recycled Goods

UK-based inventor Daniel Edwards has taken two popular trends in 3D printing - recycled filament and 3D printing pens - and combined them into one to create the Renegade, a 3D printing pen that uses strips of plastic bags and bottles in place of filament. The pen, currently raising funds on Kickstarter, was born out of a concern for the environment as well frustration with as the cost of filament for standard 3D printing pens. With the included plastic shredder, you can easily create your own filament out of your plastic garbage, saving both money and the environment.
