Dual color shell with dual extruders possible?

I would like to know if there is a way to print and object like a vase with 2 shells and have the outer shell printed in translucent and the inner shell in a solid color? I have a dual extruder printer, and have been able to print in 2 colors using different .stl files for each color but could not figure out how to do different colored shells or if that's even possible.

A classical bi color process is to merge 2 STL into an AMF.
If you have the skils, you define the inner shell and outer shell as 2 different parts.
If you don't, try and do the following :
- original model is #1
- scale your vase to a smaller scale, try 95%. This is #2
- do a boolean operation to substract #2 from #1. This is #3
- Create an AMF by combining #2 and #3.
All these are doable in Meshmixer.

Just check in the end that you respect the basics : minimum thickness...

what printer do you have and what are you using to model the vase ?

Easy, make one then duplicate it and rescale it slightly smaller, export both STL seperately and print as a dual extrusion.
