Materialise Gets Certified for 3D Printed Air-Ready Part Production

Some aerospace manufacturers undergo more than 50 customer audits every year, and they know how important it is to keep those repeated QMS audits from disrupting manufacturing activities and cutting into efficiency. Certifications like EN9100 mean customers can rely on processes tested by independent, accredited and competent registration bodies attesting to the supplier’s 9100-compliant system, and that saves them time and resources they can focus on product and process-specific tasks. The EN9100 is a certification of quality assurance for the Aeronautic and Aerospace sector. EASA Part 21G certified production organization, the ESA equivalent, means manufacturers can deliver parts with a Form 1, and that designates those parts as "ready to fly." Materialise say that by certifying their "advanced and mature additive manufacturing production facilities around the world" they're even more able to meet the demands of partners throughout the aerospace sector.
