Virtual App For Understanding Dementia

Alzheimer's Australia Vic has used academic research on home design principles for people living with dementia along with the game development tool Unreal Engine to create a visually-based app for tablet users. The idea is to educate people about how best to decorate and arrange their homes to make them friendly for people living with dementia. The visually-based app allows users to tap various images and receive information relevant to people suffering from dementia. There are also plans to make a Virtual Dementia Experience available to more people using Samsung Gear virtual reality headsets.
