Concrete 3D Printing Research at Eindhoven Univ

3D printing in concrete is heating up in the Netherlands as the Eindhoven University of Technology and ten other organizations begin an exploratory project centered around a massive new 3D printer produced by Dutch company ROHACO. Able to produce 3D prints that are 11 meters long, 5 meters wide, and 4 meters high, this new piece of hardware may be exactly the impetus that researchers need to make headway in using 3D printing technology for construction. The project, called 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP), will be ongoing over the next few years between the University and ten other organizations.
