Febtop Tech Develops Augmented Reality App for Making 3D Models from Smartphone

Stockholm-based Febtop Tech, a manufacturer of modular, delta-style 3D printers, is currently developing an augmented reality app that allows users to design 3D models by simply looking through the screen of their smartphone or tablet and drawing shapes in the air. FEBCAD AR is being developed for Android at the moment, though other platforms will be added later. The app and its source code will be released online with an open-source license, and it will also be bundled with the company's 3D printers.
