Deer Flower - A Short Film With Lots of 3D Printing

Los Angeles based Studio Zazac has released the trailer for their short film Deer Flower set to release in 2016. Following up on their critically acclaimed 38-39°C which screened at Sundance, this newest production builds on their already established aesthetic. In order to give the characters a greater dimensionality, the puppets were 3D printed and later had hand painted papers applied to their surfaces. The most important contribution that 3D printing made to this project was the sped up fabrication time, allowing the producers to devote more time to the creation of the short.
