3D Printing is Helping to Create Better Soft Fishing Lures

3D printing has given a perennial pastime a much-needed, high-tech update. Industrial designer and Shapeways contributor Gabriel Prero found the rapid prototyping capabilities of 3D printing indispensable in developing a line of digitally designed soft lures for bass fishing. Prero teamed up with a partner who’s an avid bass fisherman and industry insider to found BioSpawn Lure Company and, less than a year into their collaboration, the duo are pleased to have broken through and begin selling their lures in a big-box retail store this coming spring.
