Zortrax 3D Prints An Entire Table on their M200 Desktop 3D Printer

3D printing hasn't yet caused a sea change in any industry in particular, but it is making waves. A new application has recently emerged, with Poland-based Zortrax leading the charge... into the furniture industry. Using their Z-ULTRAT filament and desktop M200 3D printer, Zortax has created a fully 3D printed coffee table with a glass top. The KARO table took 262 hours and 32 minutes to print. Using 3,171 grams of filament and topped with an approximately 7 kg glass top, this table isn't for lightweights and really highlights the introduction of 3D printing into viable furniture industry usage. While waiting 11 days to print out a coffee table on a desktop 3D printer isn't quite an ideal process, this new table clearly marks a new step forward. The numbers--and the future--are looking very good for Zortrax, the Polish 3D printing manufacturer headquartered in Olsztyn. As their dedication to providing access to 3D printing throughout the world with quality and affordability has continued, popularity and sales have soared with 87 percent of the company’s income last year generated abroad. So far, revenues have reached PLN 25.5 million, showing twice as much recorded last year. Financials for mid-December so far show three times as many M200 printers sold in 2015, compared to last year.
