Interview With 3D Designer Ben De Angelis of Follygon

3D designer Ben De Angelis of Follygon, a Cincinnati-based artist with a background in 3D animation, is a fan of the "practice makes perfect" theory. He's challenged himself to design a new 3D piece every day, and is still going about 100 days (and 100 designs) in already. De Angelis offers many of his designs on the 3DSha.re community, where anyone with a 3D printer can download the files and print their own pieces at home. The artist, who is available for commissions (via email at Follygon[at]gmail[dot]com), has created impressive pieces -- among those exclusive to 3DSha.re are the Tiki Man, High Poly Female Norn figure, Bowser, and Octopus Woman. He took the time to talk to 3DPrint.com about how he came to 3D design and printing technology, some of his designs, and where he sees 3D printing heading in the future.
