January 2016 3D Hubs Trends

As we usher in the first month of the new year, we also get a good grip on who is still holding on from 2015, as well as which 3D printers are beginning to rise up in the ranks. The biggest surprise came in the hottest category, showing that in ‘Highest Rated 3D Printers.’ The PowerSpec 3D Pro has risen straight to the #1 spot for desktops--shooting up all the way from #9. There was a mild shakeup in industrial printers, as well as a bit surprise in ‘Trending Printers,’ as the Form 2 shot up to #1. 3D Hubs added 500 new printers to their community, putting their total at 25,000 worldwide. Also of note this month is a new category, ‘Popular Materials,’ which gives average pricing on 3D prints for ABS, PLA, and more.
