First Pizza Delivery by Drone Takes Place in New Zealand

This week, the first-ever autonomous drone pizza delivery took place in Auckland, New Zealand, thanks to a partnership between drone manufacturer Flirtey and Domino's Pizza Enterprises. The autonomous flight demonstration was the final step in an approval process for Flirtey, which will now have the go-ahead to start making drone deliveries to residential homes in New Zealand. Residential deliveries will begin later this year, and it looks like it won't be long before the service expands to the US and other areas as well.
