New iglidur 3D Printing Filament Produces Friction-Free Parts

For those involved in the industry of 3D printing parts for sliding and gliding friction-free — like bearings and other parts — Germany-based igus is bringing their own new mini-revolution to the table. The material is auto-lubricated and up to 50 times more resistant to abrasion. The 3D printing filament is now being distributed through Filimprimante3D, a webstore dedicated solely to providing 3D printing ‘consumables,’ based out of France. Offering users greater flexibility in creating parts that must glide smoothly, iglidur is similar to ABS and must be used with a heated bed.
